I had a lot of grandiose ideas when it came to sewing for a child. There are a billion ideas in my head, but this time, I'm a mother of two. This means that my great idea turned into a lot of 5 minute projects that I can squeeze into my spare time. Today I have another super simple sewing project. This can be done within 5 minutes. And this is no joke.
You know I love finding ways to update old clothing and this project fits well. It uses an existing hem of the shirt to sewing was really minimal. I've always loved these little knotted beanies that you see on newborns.
So I took an old shirt of my husband and put my figure on it. I drew a quick sketch of the hat and then added extra detail to the top node. The upper part, which forms the site drew almost as long as the cap.
After you cut the pieces, put them together wrong side and shivaite on the edge. Since this is knit and it is not raining. You won't need a serger. Your regular sewing machine will suffice.
Remove it and tie a knot at the top. Done. To sew on the label. Mine still hasn't come, so I was taken without children. I think additional labels very nice.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll see you tomorrow.
