This is a very fast and easy way to rework to spice up a plain boring pair of baby pants or leggings. This decoration is also an easy way to increase the length of pants that fit well at the waist but a few inches short. It is also useful if you want to make the pants suitable for dress, but don't have the time or skills to sew it all by yourself. You could just add a ruffle at the bottom and maybe a couple decorations and matching pants are ready!

Materials:

1 of baby pants that fit at the waist (length doesn't matter here because we can always cut to your desired length or add ruffle to extend the length)
Fabric to Ruche 12 cm width

Here's a rundown of how I did it.

Cut two strips at 6 cm in width. Fold and hem one long edge of the strip.

Along the other long side, sew a seam after setting your machine to high tension and stitch length to maximum. It soberit strips.

Take the pants and cut off the cuff approximately 3 cm above the rim. Here you can adjust the length of the pants if they are too short or too long. If they are too long cut them to length where they are about 2 inches shorter than desired length. If they are too small, cut them as close as possible to the edge.

Place the ruffle on this new the raw edge of the pants so that the ruffles and the pants are right sides together and raw edges them out. To stitch a seam along the raw edges. Sew a zigzag stitch along the edge.

Now sew two more seams. Better to use a needle foot.

Add the bow on the belt:

Cut 23-inch long piece of fabric. (in the photo in inches)

Fold it in half along the length of the outer sides together. Sew along the raw ends to make a tube.

Now turn the seam.

Now sew a seam along the bottom of the tube. Make another stitch at the top of this pipe, but leaving a gap of 2 - 3 cm in the center of this seam. This gap will be used to turn the whole thing.

Remove and you have a rectangle. Use a pencil to poke the corners outward twisting.

Is smooth and flat.

Sew the hole through which the twisted rectangle.

Now fold it like an accordion in the center. I made three folds in the center.

Wrap folds in the center strip. If necessary, use a pin to keep everything together.

Now manually sew the ribbon on the back of the bow. Cut off the excess tape.

Bow is ready. Now place it in the center of the front of the pants and hand sew it to attach it to the pants. Make sure you ask several times for extra strength.
