My sister recently gave birth to a girl that gives me the opportunity to use some sparkle in my work. I made her this tiny sparkly outfit, with a small salute of her superhero chest (the idea from the loving brothers).
I started with a simple t-shirt and skirt. I used sheets of Shine. The beauty of these sheets is that you can make the glitter evenly.
I started to cut strips 2.5 cm wide of the sheets. (In retrospect, perhaps I should have cut the pieces a little curved rather than straight. The frills on the skirt was slightly rounded.)
I removed the clear protective top coat, and then smoothed the stripes on the skirt. I realized that the easiest way to cut the strips into smaller pieces to apply them. Strips of glitter can overlap each other a bit, and it is not noticeable.
To secure them, place the fabric over and press with iron for 30 - 45 seconds.
I did stripes around both layers of the skirt.
For the top I made a Superman emblem, but changed it to "M" because her name would be Mary. Super Masha! I used the gloss, appropriate color t-shirt, so it wasn't too bright.
Now she'll have a glamorous outfit. But the brothers endorsed the sign of a superhero.
Thanks for stopping by.
