Jumpsuit

I love coveralls - the front yoke, straps, elastic band on the back, and that made a very cute outfit. On the practical side, it is an ideal kind of clothing for a small power plant. The straps guarantee that the pants will remain in place during all the jumping, running and other adventures of the baby. Denim or corduroy fabric well also endure a lot of daily washings. The jumpsuit would also be a good choice for the cold months. So, without further ADO, to show you how you can make your own coverall.

We need:

Denim or corduroy fabric: 1.4 meters
 Lining fabric: 25 x 25 cm
 Closure: 2 (buttons or snaps)

We use a simple pattern pants (page 1, Page 2) for these overalls, with some modifications:

1. Not cutting on the fold, you will need 4 pieces of these trousers jumpsuit

2. Leave the top 5 cm, because we are going to make a separate belt here.

Cut all 4 pieces for trousers with a pattern. Remember that you don't need a belt for this template as the top of pants a little shorter than regular pants.

Sew these items as a normal pants. First sew the outer straight seams. Next sew the inside leg. Then turn one leg right-side up and insert the other leg and sew the crotch seam.

Now measure a rectangle with a width of 12 cm and a length equal to the circumference of the waist + 2.5 cm, Fold and cut it in half so that you get 2 strips of 6 cm wide. These pieces will serve as a belt.

Apron 4 inch x 8 inch (10 x 20 cm).

Use it as a template to cut the same size piece of lining. Sew apron and lining the bend.

Make notches around the seam to help keep the shape. Turn them inside out.

Fold in half across the width, and make a small notch to mark the center.

Now let's make the straps:

Cut 2 strips with a width of 10 cm and 63 cm long. Fold in half lengthwise and sew along the long side to make a long tube, turn. Now put those straps so that the seam was in the center of one side.

Assembly yoke-waist jumpsuit:

Fold both 6 cm wide strips we've cut for the belt. Mark their centers, and make the scissors cut them.

Now align the raw edges of the yoke with the stripes of the belt. Sew a seam along the length of the belt.

Here's how it will look.

Now sew the waistband to the pants, aligning one raw edge of waistband with the raw edge of the pants.

When you come close to the ends, measure how much you need to leave, and the remaining strip to cut. Sew both ends together. Now close up the seam to attach the belt and pants.

Here's how it will look on the back. Now sew the webbing in the middle of each one leg.

Now you can insert the elastic in the back:

The Romper is ready to accompany your little one in all his adventures.
