Pants for rock stars

I love finding clothes for my boys a little funky. I love things that have some rock-n-roll placement. However, it is too difficult to find fashionable clothes, so that even without the great price. So, what I did son these pants the other day.

He loves them. I love them and I smile when I see his ass in them.

They are made of thin velvet. They are green because my son loves everything green and I need to be sure that he will wear them. Fortunately, he liked it.

So that's how it was. The back pockets I made my own little pattern on paper.

I bent the edges inward and then stitched along the entire length of the pocket.

Of the flaps I cut two pieces for each pocket.

I put them right sides together and sewed them, leaving the top open. I clipped the corners.

I used embroidery floss to decorate the pockets. If You are not familiar with how to embroider, you can watch a short tutorial somewhere. It's not hard.

After the pockets were finished, I pinned them in place. (It would be easier to sew them on before sewing the pants together, but I really wanted to make sure that their placement was appropriate.)

I sewed the pockets in place. Then sewed buttons.

Here his little hands in his Trouser pockets.

But he, however, decided that he had a lot more posing ideas than me. Here are some of his own.

Yes, indeed, he poses with a garden hose. Let's just say he is a creative guy. :)

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by.
