Sewing:
Cut out the pattern. You should have four pieces. One on front, one on the back and 2 on sleeves.
Sew pieces together as shown.
Now at a distance of about 8 cm from the end of the sleeves, sew three rows of shirring. Shirred fabric looks nice, but if you don't know how to do shirring, you can always use a piece of narrow elastic and sew it.
Sew along the sleeves and sides of the dress, as shown above. Repeat this for the other side too.
Happened. You're almost there.
At the moment you can try the dress on the child if it is available. For my daughter, the neck was big enough to slip over her head and small enough not to slip off her shoulders. So I just folded the neckline twice on itself and sew a seam along the neckline (0.6 cm seam allowance). But if you find that the neckline is too big on your baby, you could sew a couple of rows of shirring, or to insert the elastic. Now also fold and hem the sleeves and the hem of the dress.
To make a pair of matching trousers or not. Dress nice anyway. With long sleeves, the stylish dress for the fall!
