Skirt from old t-shirts

So here's what you need - if you want to make your own skirt. I collected t-shirts of different color and pattern that I liked.

I cut 3 strips of each color. The bands had a width of 7.5 cm and 23 cm in length. (This skirt for 2 d, so that you can adjust for yourself accordingly.)

I chose the order of the fabric and sewed them all together.

After you sew all the strips together they will look perfect....

...so you can trim them slightly with a rotary cutter.

I decided to revive some pieces of plain fabric with polka dots. I used paint for cloth and the eraser on the pencil to make dots. I also made a stamped "ROAR" on the bottom pair of strips. Probably better to stamp the fabric before sewing the skirt.

To create the waistband I cut a piece of 15 cm in height and 45 cm in length. Then just sewed the ends together, as shown....

...and then fold it over the skirt like this to create the belt.

Along the top edge of the skirt you need to sew a basting stitch to pull the thread and pull the skirt down to size.

After gathering the skirt to the correct size it can be clipped to a belt and then it is ready to be sewn. Use a zigzag stitch to attach it.

Your skirt is ready! It is very comfortable. Another option, you can sew the skirt to the shirt to create a dress.

Fun dress with turtleneck and leggings.

I hope that You are enjoying my lessons. I'll see you tomorrow.
