Estimated time: 1 hour
difficulty Level: Beginner
Materials:
• Half meter cotton fabric with a pattern of city streets
• Half meter of knit fabric in coordinating color
Pattern: download PDF pattern for a Raglan t-shirt. Print on 8.5 X 11 inch paper without margins.
The pattern should look like the following once you connect pages together.
Sewing allowances: 1 cm
Sewing:
1. Cut out the pattern.
2. The sleeves and body knit together as in a peasant dress (see step 2).
3. Cut the neck and cuffs of the sleeves.
4. Sew short ends together.
5. Fold in half on itself.
6. Align the raw edges of the strip, and sleeves. Sew.
7. Did it!
8. Do the same for the neck.
9. I also added a knitted fabric strip at the bottom of the first t-shirt. For this I took a strip of 12.5 cm with a width of about 5 inches shorter than the length of the hem and sewed it along the bottom edge in the same way as we did the cuffs and the neck. The second t-shirt I just folded twice the hem and hem it. You can do as you like, but if you plan on adding a strip at the bottom, cut a 5 cm t-shirt.
Sew a few different t-shirts.
