Designing children's clothing

Modeling and design of children's clothing is one of the areas of applied art, designed along with its main purpose to help character education and development of the aesthetic taste of children. In the education of children is of great importance surrounding environment and mutual relations of people in contact with them. Therefore, it is very important that children's clothing was high ideological and artistic qualities.
The costume is beautiful, comfortable, appropriate to the purpose, not only contributes to the development of artistic taste, but also the education, skills, cleanliness, neatness, discipline, humility and other traits of character of the man of Communist society. Clothing is always associated with any human activity and can be used for a variety of purposes: aesthetic, psychological, social. Development of the child's skills of accuracy and cleanliness promotes the use of bibs and aprons, robes and white collar of the school uniform.School uniform develops a child's punctuality, smartness and discipline.
Children's clothes should be more comfortable, hygienic, beautiful and useful, must meet classes, games, children of different ages and, in addition, to be cost effective. 
The comfort and hygiene of clothing have an impact on physical development and health of children. Beauty and the content of children's clothes associated with the novelty and clarity of composition forms.
The practicality and efficiency of children's clothing is determined by the cost of the fabrics and finishing materials. The practicality and efficiency of children's clothing should be combined with hygienic and other requirements: light weight, thermal insulation properties, good air permeability, comfort in wear, able to undergo frequent washing, cleaning, Ironing. The appropriateness of clothing is that it is fit for purpose, use.

So when designing children's clothing, you cannot copy the dress form for adults. You must take into account age-specific groups of children, the purpose of clothing, its utility, efficiency, materials, finishes. One of the most important aspects determining the choice of geometric forms, the construction of the silhouette of children's clothing, are the proportions of the figure of the child.
In determining the proportions of a child's body different age groups, special attention should be paid to the ratio of the size of the head and torso, length of arms, legs and on the visual perception of the waist line which divides the figure of the child on the top and bottom. 
Children divided into five age groups: 
a nursery group To include children up to 3 years, sizes 20, 22, 24, 26. 
To preschool will include children ages 3 to 6 years, with sizes 28 and 30. 
To the Junior school group - children from 6 to 12 years with sizes 32, 34 and 36. 
To the older school group - children from 12 to 15 with sizes 38, 40, 42.

On the coat uses cotton cloth (baize, velveton, knit fleece, soft plush) more practical dark colors: blue, red, green etc.

The range of clothes toddlers group is more varied and includes dresses, dress, blouses, day and night shirts, pants, aprons, bathrobes, jackets and blouses, coats, jumpsuits, onesies. Clothing for girls and boys of this age are different.
Clothing for girls and boys, flared or straight, rests exclusively on the shoulders, even the pants are held only on the straps. 
A full wardrobe of girls consists of long nightgowns or pajamas for sleeping, gowns or aprons bathrobes, onesies, coat, summer jacket, winter coat. Winter coats can be fur. 

In Fig. 133 show clothes girls: dress, jacket with blouse, sandy, winter coat, winter jacket, coat, hat and cloak with a hood and rain cover.
The boy's wardrobe consists of nightgowns or pajamas, day suit: shirts, trousers, short or long, jackets, sailor suits, Bathrobe and apron, Sandpiper, overalls; outerwear: coats, summer, spring, autumn, winter. The coat can be replaced with a comfortable warm suit. 

In Fig. 134 show clothes for boy toddlers: pajama night, day suit, consisting of shirt, short pant with shoulder straps and jackets, sailor suit, overalls with shirt, summer coat and winter coat with pocket trim and collar.
In this age of the figure is isolated in the following order: legs, feet, head, arms, hands.
