Maxi dress in "Poppy field"

I made this Maxi dress for myself a few weeks ago. It is so comfortable (like pajamas), and feel stylish and fashionable (unlike the pajamas). So I wear it often and really enjoy it. Since the dress was created from three different garments from my stock, I think it makes no sense to give an accurate tutorial. Instead, I decided to write some basic construction notes. So you can create a Maxi dress with everything you have on hand, or sew from scratch. Judging by the fact that I rebuilt almost every thing I used to sew from scratch will not be too difficult.

Materials:

• One t - Shirt of your size or two sizes larger than you.
• One tiered dress - Your size or more
• Knit fabric.

Manufacturer:

This striped dress was two sizes too big, but the Jersey fabric and the tiered skirt seemed very comfortable. So I cut the bodice from the dress and used the skirt.

I cut off the bottom of the other two sizes too big t-shirt to just below my bust. The sleeves I cut off to make it with short sleeves.

Gather the top part of the skirt so that it became equal to the bottom of the shirt. Sew with right sides together. I put on the dress and found the following problems with the fit:

1. The neck was too narrow.
2. The sleeves were too long and in my opinion suitable for a respectable woman.
3. What was needed was a better waist too.

To cut the neck to make a V-shape collar.

To finish the neckline, I used the sleeves from another dress. We got a very nice finish.

The collar I decided to continue to the waist.

To better highlight the waist line, I added the ribbon on the border. I sewed along the top and bottom edges of the tape, only the front. And left not sewn in the back to tape to use as ties. Also hem sleeves.

Tried on the dress again. The fit was great, the new neckline comfortable! The only problem. The upper and lower structures were too different. They looked like they had nothing to do with each other. But we can't afford to leave, right? Right! So I added a cheerful, wide orange polka dot ribbon on the hem. So much better! But you need something else to add. This is the bouquet of burning poppies. Here's how I made these fabric flowers.

I attached large, bright flowers fabric. Tried the thing again. And Ah! It's very beautiful.
